So your photo shoot is tomorrow, what do you need to know?
-
Please feel free to call and talk about your photo shoot in advance of the session, it's good to have an idea of what your perfect picture is. Not to mention that pictures are best when your photographer is your friend.
- Think ahead, what poses have you seen that you really like? If you have a picture or a magazine clipping you should bring it. My favorite photo shoots are with people who have a couple great ideas!
- Pick your clothes changes based on the mood you are trying to set for your pictures, as well as your favorite, and most comfortable outfits.
- If you are a girl, than don't forget to bring your emergency make up.
-
Glitter may look good in real life, but it is not as flattering on camera.
- If your a man and you want to start with an unshaven look, try binging your shaving supplies for a style change midway.
- SLEEP! The night before is the most important part of the photo shoot.
- Women: Make sure that your undergarment does not show through your shirt.
- Men: Please don't wear a bra.
- Clothes should compliment you, not complete you. Avoid busy patterns and stiff fabrics. Remember the prettier you feel (or handsome) the better the picture!
- Jewelry and hair ornaments need to be really simple, unless your going for a character shot. Hey, 80's pictures are rad!
- Both men and women should take care of their nails.
- Avoid fatty, greasy, salty foods as well as alcohol or anything that will make you feel puffy or bloated. Also, avoid showing up for the shoot stoned, it's hard to have a motivated sessions!
- Hair changes take a long time. Consider having one hair style for the entire shoot.
- Expect the unexpected. You never know what could happen, and that is a good thing, some of the best shots come from being open and flexible when things don't go according to plan!
- Be happy! If your in good spirits, your pictures will show it!
